Senior Consultant - Product Manager
£45,000 - £65,000 (DoE) + annual bonus and hybrid working.
This is a key position within our business and as such we are looking for a confident Product Manager willing to grow and develop into a leading figure within the Product community.

This Product Manager position will sit within i3D Digital arm of the business which provides digital, design and delivery services to our customers. As a Product Manager your role will be to promote product thinking and deliver product excellence within the organisation and on client engagements. The ability to work in related roles within the i3Digital, team such as delivery and agile coaching, and your willingness to do so, will help you stand out as a candidate. You will be supported by our digital team, directly contributing to the team’s goals with your drive to bring the best outcomes to everything we deliver.
Role Purpose
As a senior consultant, you will be a senior member of the i3D team shaping our product management & digital delivery capability, supporting the team to deliver successful outcomes across our external engagements. You will also work with colleagues internally to promote product-led thinking and digital best practice across the organisation.
Externally, drawing on your experience in product management and related roles you will provide leadership and clear direction to cross-functional delivery teams, making the right prioritisation decisions to ensure that products provide commercial value and meet our user and business needs. You could be working on projects throughout the delivery lifecycle so you will need to demonstrate your ability to take the product from early inception and problem statement identification through to developing and gaining buy-in for the strategic roadmap and working with the team to refine business requirements and understand and embed measures of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a product and play a lead role within the cross functional team to optimise delivery outcomes
- Engage with senior stakeholders to define a vision, strategy and roadmap for the product, iterating and maintaining the roadmap as the landscape evolves
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and get key decisions
- Engage with subject matter experts, stakeholders and users to inform prioritisation decisions
- Own products and their delivery end to end, front to back
- Support teams with articulating clear and actionable product requirements
- Determine what ‘good’ looks like and ensure relevant baseline metrics are captured and KPIs are monitored and used to drive business outcomes
- Work with a cross-functional team, or external supplier, to create and test hypotheses & prototype new solutions to complex problems, testing and experimenting to get the optimal outcome
- Use performance data and user feedback to make informed decisions and recommendations for further development of the product
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand ups, retrospectives, planning etc
- Participate and contribute to the product community of practice
- Continue to grow your skills and capabilities
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of product management at all stages of the development lifecycle, ideally with some experience within the public sector
- Providing clear and decisive leadership in cross-functional agile delivery teams
- Managing relationships with suppliers and senior internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience of managing and prioritising a product backlog aligned with service vision and strategy
- The suitable candidate already holds, or will be expected to achieve, National Security Vetting to Security Check standard (SC Clearance)
Role Location:
Our consultants are expected to work in a hybrid environment, in accordance with our clients. We require our people to be within an easily commutable distance of our Bristol office and to be able to co-locate at our client locations, which are typically 50 miles of Bristol or along the M4 corridor. New clients are always coming on board, and we require our consultants to be able to work flexibly and wherever this work requires.
